In the wake of the missile strike on Sevastopol's Crimean headquarters of Russia’s navy last week, Ukraine has revised its casualty figures. Initially, Kyrylo Budanov, Ukraine's intelligence chief, reported nine casualties and 16 injuries. However, today, Ukraine asserts that 34 officers, including Admiral Viktor Sokolov, were killed, with 105 injured.
No evidence has been provided to substantiate these claims, and independent verification is pending. These numbers significantly differ from Russia's reports, which initially stated one serviceman killed but later indicated the person was missing, with no further updates from Moscow.
Additionally, Ukraine's military has provided more details about the attack, revealing that the air force conducted 12 strikes on the Black Sea Fleet headquarters, targeting areas with personnel, military equipment, and weapons. This operation resulted in the destruction of two anti-aircraft missile systems and four Russian artillery units.
