Kao Denero: I am willing to sacrifice my life, just like Jesus Christ, and face criticism and persecution, if that's what it takes to empower entertainers of Sierra Leone.
Sierra Leone's rapper and Ambassador of Entertainment, Kao Denero, recently made a statement about his willingness to sacrifice his life to promote the growth of the entertainment industry in Sierra Leone.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday morning, the rapper expressed his desire to work for the development of the industry and its entertainers.
Kao Denero also advocated for the government of Sierra Leone to support more shows or festivals like his recent 'Back To My Root' festival with Kenyan rapper, Khaligraph Money, as the guest artist. The rapper compared his willingness to sacrifice his life to Jesus Christ, who was prosecuted for trying to assist others.
Kao Denero has been credited with establishing the office of entertainment in Sierra Leone, and he expressed his dream to continue advocating for the government to establish a commission or directorate. He revealed that his office was supported for a festival by the government, which was successfully concluded in January. He is also pushing to achieve another festival in April, which will solely feature a performance by Sierra Leonean artists.
Despite the challenges he faces, Kao Denero is determined to empower fellow entertainers in Sierra Leone. He has faced criticism from individuals who dislike his Ambassador title, but he remains optimistic about achieving victory. Kao Denero is highly regarded as one of the greatest rappers from Sierra Leone, with a large fan base in the country and around the world.
